Jointly in BNN Bloomberg: Prenups can be an uncomfortable topic, but a big help in the event of heartbreak

BNN Bloomberg

One of our founders, Aimee Schalles, was recently featured in an article from BNN Bloomberg.

Talking about prenups can feel awkward. We’ve had the experience a of seeing people flinch at the word “prenup” when we tell them what we’re building with Jointly.

In this article, Aimee does a great job of explaining why prenups are actually about clarity, fairness, and future-proofing your relationship — not about planning for failure or divorce. She also sets out some quick tips about how to bring up the conversation, if you’re one of those folks who is a bit nervous about this subject.

It’s been incredible to see prenups and cohabitation agreements getting more airtime in the media. It’s such an important part of financial planning, and we’re proud of the way our team at Jointly is helping to make it more approachable for Canadians.
